Power Mesh Reinforcing Fabric

Here is the most effective reinforcing fabric we have ever found for use in rusted out repairs. While most fabrics tent to bunch or bulge, Power Mesh lays flat while you coat it with POR-15. It's perfect for repairing holes in steel, fiberglass, or wood. Use it to "bridge" holes in floors, trunk pans, roofs, around window ledge, or even quarter panels. It's unbeatable when used with POR-15 & our famous POR Epoxy Putty. In fact, all three of these items are included in our popular Floor Pan & Trunk Repair Kit.

Once the metal is prepared properly for POR-15, on the least conspicuous side apply a coat of POR-15 & lay the Power Mesh onto the wet coating. Apply another coat of POR-15 over the Power Mesh, allow it to dry to a tack point & then apply a final coat of POR-15. Now the surface is reinforced & the hole is bridged forming a support for the POR Epoxy Putty which is applied to the other side of the metal. The POR Epoxy Putty will fill the void where the metal is missing & it will simulate the steel & can be sanded & painted.

Handling Instructions: Do not handle fabric with bare hands. Because it is a special type of fiberglass cloth, the fibers may pierce your skin and you will experience discomfort. Wear a pair of gloves (or other protection) whenever you handle this cloth. As you cut the cloth, some fibers may fly into the air, so be sure to wear the mask provided while cutting.
